Meeting called to order by Stasia Ford – 9:17pm

1. Prayer (Phil Euga)

2. Welcome to new senators!

- Introduction of all senators

- Congratulations to new senators and affiliates, especially freshman

3. Racism Awareness Week (2^nd-3^rd week in November)

- Issues of race on campus

- Proactive student involvement

- T-shirts all students will wear the same day

- Larger picture to look at students as a whole

- All POINT organizations

- Various ideas of what to put on shirts (eg, “I am (_____).”)

- 1000 shirts or more given out on campus

4. Inductions

- tentatively 3^rd week of November, November 15^th

- 11:00 am ceremony, all senators and families, brunch after

- Spot reserved

- Ashley, Trevor, Vanessa

5. Retreat: November 21-22

- Mother Boniface Center

- Marathon Planning

- Committee Work

6. Committee Reports

- Health Advisory Committee: Need volunteers to sign people up for the blood drive at Treetops, B&G, Union from November 3^rd-5^th

7. President’s Minute

- 11/9/09 FYO 1:00: Christine, Vanessa, Ashley

- Very excited for new senators and affiliates

- 2 office hours/week

- New room for meetings: Union 217 9:15 Tuesdays
