Meeting called to order by Andrew Fox – 9:15p.m.

 

¨      If anyone is planning on running for Executive Board position, email Fox by this Friday with what position and if you are planning on running on a ticket

¨      Committee Reports

§         Health Advisory Met

§         Security

¨      SGA Formal

§         March 20^th Friday, 8:30-12:00

§         Cost per couple is to be determined

¨      Donation to killed officer(s) – 35^th Police District

§         Something from SGA/Thank You

§         Formulate committee together

§         Have media in attendance if possible

¨      Senior Night – Last Men’s Basketball Home Game vs. Fordham

§         Wednesday, March 4

§         Tables situated in Haymen to collect money for Marathon

¨      Basketball Marathon –

§         Groups discussed status of their respective committees

§         Keep on contact with large organizations/businesses

·        Division of Student Affairs and Honors Board

§         Shirts will be finalized with organizations listed on back

§         Selling shirts for $5/pop

§         Bag of shirts stuffed for each team scheduled to pay

Meeting called to order by Andrew Fox – 9:15p.m.

 

¨      Spring Elections

§         Executive Board

·        Elections will be held April 6 – 9, 2009

·        Bios are due March 27

§         Senators

·        Elections will be held in Mid-April

·        Bios are due April 3

¨      COSGA

§         Selected senators and board members will depart for Houston, Texas – (Texas A & M University, College Station, TX) on Friday February 27 and return to Philadelphia Tuesday March 3

§         Will be presenting at conferences

¨      Committee Reports

¨      Basketball Marathon – break up into respective groups

§         Recruitment

·        Will continue to contact organizations and outside sources

·        Have organized spreadsheet of teams, times, refs and score keepers

·        Will schedule to be guests at other organizations’ meetings to speak and hopefully recruit teams for marathon

Meeting called to order by Stasia Ford – 9:17p.m.

 

Ø      Recent Tragic Events – SGA members are attending – Wear SGA Shirt

Ø      Committee Reports

o       Academic Affairs Committee

§         Institutions are looking at other forms of certification for Special Education majors

§         Hispanic Institute Proposal for a Certificate in Interpreting (English to Spanish/ Spanish to English)

§         Proposals to change the degree offered in Geology and Environmental Science from B.A. to B.S.

o       Heath Advisory Board Met

o       Funding Board meeting next Tuesday

Ø      Met with John Doyle earlier today in regards to Branding Platform Iniative

Ø      Basketball Marathon

o       During office hours, make sure to call businesses

o       Lighting from Pini

o       Will be using Ticket Method this year – for food, drinks shirts, games etc.

o       Fliers are made and Save-the-Date fliers will be distributed the week of the marathon

o       Break up into groups

¨      Weather Announcements will be posted on La Salle’s website and portal for cancellation of classes tomorrow Wednesday, 2/4/09

¨      SGA Spring Formal

§         Vanessa B. & Elle will be in charge of putting everything together

¨      Will check SGA bylaws in terms of online elections

§         Jess will communicate information with Mike Nielsen in regards to online elections for spring

¨      COSGA Conference – Texas (Texas A&M University Campus)

§         February 27, 2009 – March 3, 2009
