SGA Meeting

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

 Union 301 – 9:15p.m.

 

**Note – Meeting on October 28th was short:

¨      Retreat

¨      Induction

¨      Stuffed envelops for Tuition Raffle

 

Meeting called to order by Stasia Ford – 9:17p.m.

Prayer – Andrew Fox 9:18p.m.

 

Ø      Thanksgiving Dinner served to 35th District

o       Jim Rossi talked about joining La Salle Ambassadors

o       Serving dinner to firefighters and police officers of district

o       Monday, November 17th

Ø      Freshman Elections

o       Voting online is available, please vote and spread the word to all freshman

Ø      Check Presentation is ready

o       Florida State home game @ 7:00p.m.

o       Sum of $8,000 presented during half-time

Ø      Tuition Raffle

o       Everything is mailed out

o       Everyone should check their mail and see if they received it

o       Tickets are due Tues. December 2

o       Drawing will be held Friday December 5th

Ø      Basketball Marathon – Chris Petrucci

o       Sign up for committees

o       Will have heads of committees going into Retreat

o       Money will donated to Coaches vs. Cancer

o       March 27th – 28th weekend

Ø      Committee Reports

o       Student Press

§         Separated different parts of Collegian, WEXP, Yearbook and La Salle 56 to critique each publication

o       Funding Board meets this Thursday

Ø      President’s Minute

o       Vote today in National Election

o       Freshman Elections are this week, please vote for that as well

o       Sign up for Blood Drive times and also to donate blood if you wish

o       All SGA members and affiliates – dress up in business casual for next meeting

§         Pictures will be taken for SGA bulletin board and website

o       SGA will be decorating a tree this year for Christmas holidays

§         Will talk with Grounds committees to determine exact location
